Homoclinic bifurcation and Chaos in φ6-Rayleigh oscillator with Three wells Driven by an amplitude Modulated Force

چکیده
With amplitude modulated excitation, the effect on chaotic behavior of Φ-Rayleigh oscillator with three wells is investigated in this paper. The Melnikov theorem is used to detect the conditions for possible occurrence of chaos. The results show that the domain of the appearance of chaos is enlarged as both amplitudes of modulated and unmodulated forces increase. The effect of these two amplitudes, when both frequencies of modulated and unmodulated forces are different, on bifurcation diagram and Poincaré map is also investigated, in addition to the surface of Maximal Lyapunov exponent versus modulated and unmodulated parameters for suppressing chaos being shown.

Frequency–driven chaos in the electrical circuit of Duffing-Holmes oscillator and its control
Accurate detection of weak periodic signals within noise and possibility of secure messaging have made Duffing oscillator (DO) highly important in the field of communication. Investigation on the properties of DO is thus ardently sought for. An elegant approach to accomplish the same is to fabricate electronic circuit simulating DO non-linear equation and to study the effect of input signal amp...
متن کاملHomoclinic bifurcation in Chua ’ s circuit
We report our experimental observations of the Shil’nikov-type homoclinic chaos in asymmetry-induced Chua’s oscillator. The asymmetry plays a crucial role in the related homoclinic bifurcations. The asymmetry is introduced in the circuit by forcing a DC voltage. For a selected asymmetry, when a system parameter is controlled, we observed transition from large amplitude limit cycle to homoclinic...

We report experimental observations of Shil'nikov-type homoclinic chaos and mixed-mode oscillations in asymmetry-induced Chua's oscillator. Then by tuning a control parameter, we observed transition from large amplitude limit cycle to homoclinic chao...
متن کاملVibration of the Duffing Oscillator: Effect of Fractional Damping
We have applied the Melnikov criterion to examine a global homoclinic bifurcation and transition to chaos in a case of the Duffing system with nonlinear fractional damping and external excitation. Using perturbation methods we have found a critical forcing amplitude above which the system may behave chaotically. The results have been verified by numerical simulations using standard nonlinear to...
متن کاملBursting Near homoclinic bifurcation in Two Coupled Chua oscillators
We report experimental observation of cycle-cycle bursting near homoclinic bifurcation in a selfoscillating Chua oscillator when it is diffusively coupled to another excitable Chua oscillator. The excitable oscillator induces an asymmetry in the self-oscillating Chua oscillator via coupling. The coupling strength controls the strength of the asymmetry that plays a key role in transition to burs...
